Experience

• Viet began his career with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Vietnam Ministry of Finance (MOF) as a Project Coordinator for the “State-owned-Enterprise Reform and Corporate Governance Facilitation” program. This experience equipped him with in-depth financial expertise and fostered strong relationships with government agencies, ministries, and state-owned enterprises (SOEs).
• Moving to private sector, Viet has held various leadership positions at VnDirect Securities, a top securities firm in Vietnam. His roles included Chief Strategy Officer, Director of Customer Service Center, Director of Discount Brokerage Division, Director of Strategic Marketing, and Director of Private Accounts & SMEs. He also served on the boards of several VnDirect affiliates, demonstrating his strategic vision and governance experience.
• Viet then joined DNP and Tasco Holding as a member of the Advisory Board where he led successfully the acquisition of Groupama Insurance, later renamed Tasco Insurance
• Beyond his corporate experience, Viet has also demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit. He co-founded several successful startups, including ITECO Joint Stock Company specializing in Liquefied Natural Gas and Encapital Financial Company focusing on financial technology for stock and derivative trading.

Education

• Viet graduated with double degrees in Banking and Corporate Finance from the University of Nebraska, USA.
